My life took a huge u-turn. I had been a teacher for science and mathematics in Chapel Allerton Primary School. I did it for six months and then I had a severe stroke and had to stop. I couldn’t stand, my balance was gone, my speech was gone, my memory was gone. It was a very severe stroke. I was in a wheelchair. I couldn’t even express my feelings, how I was feeling. I was thinking who am I. I forgot my name. And slowly and slowly, because I was a science student I knew what to do - that I would slowly and slowly talk and begin physical activities, my memory and how to improve it. I would hold the wall in the flat to make my balance happen. It took about thirty years - but now I can speak - and I can walk. It took a long time. But I did it myself.

My hobby is learning, increasing my knowledge in medical science, I had wanted to be a doctor but I couldn’t so my hobby is to read and to learn. I have lived my life with my own courage.

This is a story of a former teacher who suffered a severe stroke that left him wheelchair-bound, unable to speak and with memory loss. Despite the challenges, he persevered and used his scientific knowledge to gradually recover. After thirty years of hard work and determination, he regained his ability to walk and speak. Though he couldn't become a doctor due to the stroke, he continued his passion for learning and medical science as a hobby. This is a tale of resilience, courage and self-empowerment.
