Hello - my name is Ashley and I am 78 years old.

My story goes back to June 1953 when I was taken to London to see the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. I was taken by my grandparents and stayed with relatives for one month. I was taken round the route on Friday night and was amazed at the sight of people camping on the pavements, etc.

I loved London, especially the river and tube trains. I can definitely recommend a coronation. I know, I was there.
