#619 Anonymous From Idi Amin's Uganda to Glasgow and Leeds

Anonymous

I was born and brought up in Uganda. Idi Amin was the ruler. He had a dream one night and expelled all the Indians. Because we had a British passport we came to the UK. In 1972. We settled down in Glasgow first. I got married in 1975. Since then in Leeds. I was the quality controller on a production line. I had to finish because of ill health. My husband had a very large family. Like all Asian ladies I have to look after them! Now I come to this group. I enjoy my life.
