#370 Anonymous Not to be pitied

Anonymous

When I was at school in the 1960s, I volunteered to visit an older person every week. Her name was Mrs. Moll and she was 82. One Christmas, we gave her a budgie in a cage. I will never forget her joy to receive a new companion.

Our motto was: old people are not to be pitied. Old people are you and I grown up.

How true!
