#875 Joyce Taylor The Fast Cow

About 15 years ago my husband, daughter, myself and two friends were staying in Harrington. Whilst out on a trip, we decided to take a break and have lunch at the farm cafe marked on a sign. It was a long pot-holey track with mugs on trees on the approach; just in case you were in any doubt it exists. Eventually we reached the farm cafe and ordered our dinners, cuppas and cakes. We then got ourselves comfortably seated. We were facing an open window to which our friends had their backs. Suddenly a cow put its head through the open space and we 3 howled with laughter, but our friends thought it was a joke on our part when told what we had seen. They did turn around but the cow had moved. However our male friend did get his camera out. This happened a second time and by the time our friend had turned around, the cow had gone. However, the third time the cow tried to look in the cafe our friend was a bit quicker in turning around but the cow was quicker. So our friend managed to catch his bottom and tail. Such laughter ensued. Incidentally the sarnies and cakes were superb.
