On 29th June 1973 myself and my best friend went to see David Bowie at Leeds Rolarena,now part of the Yorkshire Television building. Tickets cost £1.25. I must admit we had never heard of him.

But he put on an amazing show. Mick Ronson on lead guitar and backing vocals. Trevor Bolder on bass sporting the longest sideburns in the world and Mick Woodmansey on drums the only member still alive - collectively The Spiders from Mars.
