I was born 1937 and came to Leeds in 1938 from London due to the war.

We were evacuated to Norfolk but were not happy there so dad came and took mum and four children to Leeds to be with relatives and dad went back to London. He was a fish fryer. Later he came to Leeds and settled here.

Mum finished up having 7 children all stayed in Leeds.
