#816 Helen Garrand Butterflies on my Shoulder

Helen Garrand

The Zoom calls continued and we decided that we wanted to do another book to illustrate coming out of lockdown. So we all did a chapter for the book again and my chapter was “The butterflies in my garden”. I had developed an interest in gardening through the first lockdown and whenever I would go out in the garden, there used to be two Cabbage Patch butterflies that came and sat on my shoulder as I was doing things. So in my chapter I talked about the butterflies in my garden and went through the gardening year, like planting seeds, getting plants for the next year, and I related it all to mental health and how you can use gardening to empower yourself.
