We had street parties bonfire night, used to get t’piano out in t’street and stand round it singing. Kids had first half of bonfire night and mothers second, there’d be toffee apples and Parkin and then one of t’ others would got to t’fish shop and get fish and chips…Each mother used to make different stuff for the kids
