Fast forward 65 years and my heart is still beating. It's beating fast because I'm about to appear on the stage at Leeds Playhouse. I'm dancing in The Promise of a Garden with some professional dancers and other enthusiastic older amateurs like myself. It was a joy and privilege to dance and evoke flower shapes to the specially composed beautiful music. I call 2021 my year as a dancer and I will always cherish the wonderful experience of dancing with my fellow dancers. I felt so glad to be still alive!
