#715 Caroline Bennett Am I really old?

Caroline Bennett

I find coming to some of the groups, without being rude to the people there, I think,

Am I this old? Do I belong in these groups, because I don't necessarily feel old. I might look old… but I don’t feel it. It's a weird feeling that all of a sudden I seem to have gone from being middle aged - and I’m suddenly I’m old. The time between them has just gone.

My son's 35 tomorrow. And I have no idea where five years has gone by. It is ridiculous and it's quite frightening when I think about the amount of time that's passed. I look around and I think am I really old?

I have just moved into the area. And I'm renting and I found initially trying to rent with my income and status with only having pensions, that I was passed over at a few places before I finally managed to get somewhere. I was in hospital and they said you’ll be discharged to the community, but you’re not in the usual community health service any more you’re going to be in the older persons unit. So immediately I thought What!

I listen to my son’s heavy metal music.
