Since I’ve retired, I do a lot more walking with my dog and I’ve taken up photography. I have joined a local camera club which gives me new challenges and I get to try new things with the camera. I take the camera out with me every day when I’m walking. I mainly take pictures of nature. I go to Adel Woods, Roundhay Park, Harewood, Eccup. Fairburn Ings & St Aidan’s. I have taken pictures of deer, red kite’s highland cattle, sheep. Now I am doing a part-time 10-week OU course on photography skills.

Retiring for me has been great. I did not retire when I planned to retire. During Covid I was doing a job and then the digital demands became too much and I didn’t want to keep working in that way, having to do so many things online. I love being retired
