What matters to me is living my life to the full living with honesty and integrity and seeing the best and all the people I meet.

A standout memory for me is doing the great North run which is a half marathon in Newcastle. I did it for my 60th birthday and I raised nearly £1000 for the Downs syndrome Association. This is a charity close to my heart for all the support they have given to my godson. The atmosphere there was fantastic the people that were amazing and it was a really well organised event.
I enjoyed running as a youngster I was good at it at school but then I didn’t do it for years and then a friend of mine told me about a running club. And they said it’s a great way to relieve tension and stress.
And I enjoy yoga. I started doing yoga to accompany a friend who had been excluded from some classes because of having epilepsy and I felt really strongly that that just wasn’t right so I offered to go with her. I ended up training to be a yoga teacher and then I ended up going on this amazing holiday in India where I stayed in an ashram. It was really mind-boggling and I met wonderful people. That changed my life in some ways.
What matters to me is living my life to the full living with honesty and integrity and seeing the best and all the people I meet.
