#707 Annie My life

Annie

I'm proud I wrote and published my books. I generally write on a cultural Irish theme. I do readings but mostly in Ireland, and that's where I sell my books mostly. I've written 4 books since I retired. I'm also proud of my daughter- she teaches at the same school she went to in Harehills! She's also a dancer- she did the costumes for the show for St Patricks day parade in Millennium Square.

And I'm proud I survived- my Dad died when I was 2, my Mum when I was 4 so I was an orphan and I was brought up by my aunt in Donegal. When she died I had a break down and the Dr said its best to get away so I moved to Scotland then Leeds. I've lived in Leeds longer than I've lived anywhere else

Work wise there wasn't much going in Ireland, you had to take what you could get. But the longest job I had was for 31 years in the canteen at Crocketts later named Johnsons on Stoney Rock Lane LS9.
