#502 Robert Stott Life in Leeds without a minute's regret

I have lived in Leeds all my life. I was in school in Leeds until about age 11 and then went to Sheffield Blind School for a year and then to the Royal National College for the Blind, near Shrewsbury. I trained there as a short hand typist using brain shorthand and got a job in a private firm to begin with. When that came to an end after 18 months I joined Leeds Corporation, that is now Leeds City Council in the finance division and worked there until the end of October 1992 and I’ve been retired since and not regretted a minute of it.

I’ve enjoyed my retirement.

Working and living in Leeds has been a journey without a minute's regret.
