During the war a bomb was dropped on the green in front of our row of houses.

I lived in Peterston-super-Ely, which is a little village outside Cardiff, and during the war a bomb was dropped on the green in front of our row of houses. And at about a year, or two years old, I remember walking down, looking at the big crater, with my hands in my pockets - and I fell and cut my chin open on the rough road!
